TikTok Earnings Calculator
Punch in your views, get a rough estimate of what TikTok might actually pay you. "Rough" is doing real work in that sentence — TikTok creator payouts are one of the least consistent numbers in the creator economy, and this calculator is built to give you a realistic range rather than a false-precision single number.
What TikTok actually pays, and why it's such a wide range
TikTok's original Creator Fund — the one people still reference from a few years back — paid a genuinely small amount, often cited around $0.02 to $0.04 per 1,000 views. It's been phased out in most markets and replaced by what's now called the Creator Rewards Program (formerly the Creativity Program). The replacement pays meaningfully more: most current estimates land in the $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views range, with some niches (finance, education) and some countries (US, UK) reporting higher, up to $2+ in outlier cases.
The word "qualified" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. To earn anything through the program, several conditions generally have to be true:
- Video length: typically needs to run over one minute — the program is built around longer, retention-driven content, not quick clips.
- Account eligibility: commonly cited thresholds are around 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the trailing 30 days, plus being 18 or older.
- Originality: duets, stitches, and reposted or lightly-edited content generally don't qualify — TikTok's system is checking for original creative work.
- Country: the program isn't available everywhere; payout eligibility depends on where your audience (and often your account) is based.
So a video with 1 million views doesn't translate to some fixed number — reported real-world outcomes for a million qualified views range anywhere from roughly $200 to $2,000, depending on watch-through rate, audience country, and content category. That's not a bug in the calculator — it reflects how genuinely variable the actual program is.
Beyond the Creator Fund/Rewards Program
For most creators earning meaningful income on TikTok, the platform's built-in payout program is the smallest slice, not the biggest. Brand deals and TikTok Shop affiliate commissions (often 5-20% commission on driven sales) are commonly cited as generating far more revenue for established creators than views-based payouts alone — sometimes reported as 10-50x more.
A quick, important note
If TikTok income becomes real income for you, it's taxable, the same as any self-employment or freelance earnings in most countries. This calculator estimates gross payout, not what you'll actually take home after taxes.
